It's been awhile!

It's been awhile since I last posted! I tried to post before Thanksgiving but my web browser kept crashing and I lost all my work! I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving week! I know I enjoyed getting to spend some extra time with my family and friends from out of town! We are getting ready to switch gears in the art room next week. A new month means new projects so here are the last few pictures from our current projects!

3rd Grade:

Third graders have moved onto their Square1 Art projects! Now that they are independent with the watercolor paints, these will be self-directed paintings of choice! I like to let students choose their subject matter for their Square1 Art projects so hopefully you will be interested in purchasing something with their artwork on it for the PTA Sqaure1 Art fundraiser. Information will be sent home in February, I believe. Also, Mrs. Desimone's class was the first class in the school to earn their art party! We will be celebrating next time they are in art!

4th Grade:

Weaving is wrapping up in 4th grade! If you stop in the school next week check out the display I am working on in the main hallway! It's not quite finished yet but hopefully by Monday!

5th Grade:

Fifth graders have finished their last in-class day of weaving! Students are finding weaving takes STAMINA! Because this project takes awhile, we will be working on this here and there throughout the school year. Some students will decide to keep going with weaving and others will work in their sketchbooks. I am proud of them for giving it a try!
